NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC have completed the signing of Ugandan international striker Brian Aheebwa on a 18-month deal, reinforcing their attacking options ahead of a crucial run of CAF Confederation Cup fixtures.
Aheebwa, 24, arrives from KCCA FC where he scored 18 goals in 26 appearances last season. The Ugandan, who has 12 senior international caps, is expected to provide direct competition for first-choice striker John Macharia and add a different dimension to Tusker's attack.
"Brian is a hungry, direct striker who can score different types of goals. We are delighted to bring him to the club at this important stage of the season."
— Robert Matano, Tusker FC Head Coach
Tusker face a two-legged CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final against Egyptian side Pyramids FC next month. The first leg will be played at Ruaraka, with the return leg in Cairo.
